History
Every dish has a history. A history of invention, of adaptation, of absorption. A dish not only represents its own history, but it is also a symbol of culture, society and civilization. Food also symbolizes memories, experiences and struggles of a people and society. The Muslims from Western Asia brought the Mughal cuisine to India in 12th century. It is one of the popular & lavish in the country. Some of the famous spicy Mughal cuisines are Alooka Raita, Carrot and Chicken Korma, Chana, Chicken Tikka and of course the famous Biriyani. The 16th century witnessed trades from European merchants in return for Indian spices. The Indian remained British Colony influenced the cooking style & infected us with taste of the tea. The British introduced us Soups, Sandwich, Cutlets, Sausages, Cakes, Pudding, Jams and Biscuits. We Indians have absorbed the food spices & vegetables from all over the world and are able to present the savour & culinary delights to the world. We by providing our traditional recipes represents one such culture, namely the Indian culture, whose culinary arts have been influenced by Middle Eastern, western and East Asian cultures Diversity for us is not a motto to be achieved, but a way of life.
